I just got back from a whirlwind 24-hour trip up to Seattle to attend the Spread the Love workshop. I had such a wonderful time - I swear it was the shot in the arm I needed to really get going. Thanks, Justin and Mary!

Ben and Melanie: Engagement Session

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Ben and Melanie for their engagement shoot (and my first engagement shoot of the year!). We started off on a drizzly January day at Overlook Park in North Portland and then moved down to the Eastside Esplanade to walk along the river. I don't use my Lensbaby very often on portrait sessions, but happened to bring it along almost as an afterthought this time; I ended up wanting to use it quite a bit during our session. It's funny how that happens sometimes.
